Steve Scher MSPT, ATC, CSCS, PES
Steve is the Director at the Royal Oak clinic. He has been in practice for 9 years and has developed UE surgical protocols, throwing programs and performance enhancement programs. He has also published research related to the shoulder and the athlete. Steve serves as the Detroit Tigers Physical Therapist consultant, and in 2007 was accepted into the American Society of Shoulder and Elbow Therapists. Steve is a certified provider for Active Release Technique for the Spine. In 2002 he founded Orthoelite seminars.
Sarah Case, PT, DScPT
Sarah recently earned a postgraduate Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from Oakland University with a focus in complementary medicine and wellness. She has practiced in outpatient orthopedics for the past 8 years and has experience with a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders. Sarah's clinical interests include chronic pain, spinal disorders and treatment of cervicogenic headaches. Her research interests involve patient-practitioner interactions, mechanisms of manual therapy and biopsychosocial treatments approaches for chronic pain. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the International Association for the Study of Pain. Sarah is also a teaching assistant in the entry-level physical therapy program at Oakland University. In addition to physical therapy, Sarah has training in wellness counseling, Pilates, and yoga. She is a certified ASTYM provider.
Su Carollo PTA
Su has been a massage therapist for 26 years. She graduated from Macomb Community College as a PTA in 1998. Throughout her 11 years in practice she has extended her manual therapy skills by treating a wide variety of orthopedic patients. She also acts as a tutor for the PTA program at MCC.
